Harper had a rough 48-hour period. On Sunday, the undrafted rookie muffed a fourth quarter punt and the turnover jumpstarted the Denver Broncos comeback win. A day later, the Patriots released Harper from the 53-man roster. The receiver’s appeared in three games this season, but is still searching for his first official NFL catch.

Quarles joined the Patriots last summer. The team claimed him off waivers from the New York Giants and he eventually spent two weeks on the Patriots’ practice squad. In September, the Indianapolis Colts signed the defensive tackle off the Patriots practice squad. To make that roster move, the Colts cut Dion Lewis.
