A young boy struggles with Cancer..

Nathaniel Perry Solder (born April 12, 1988) is an American football offensive lineman for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Colorado, and was recognized as an All-America. The Patriots picked him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Solder, who earlier this year revealed that he was treated for testicular cancer, told a crowd at a charity event on Monday that his 3-month-old son, Hudson, has a form of kidney cancer.

After the 2013 season, the Patriots exercised their fifth-year option on Solder. On September 9, 2015, the Patriots gave Solder a two-year extension, through the 2017 season adding about $20 million in new money, A clause in the extension prohibits the Patriots from using the franchise tag on Solder in 2018.Before the 2015 season, Solder was voted a captain by his teammates for the first time in his career.

Solder was the keynote speaker at The Gratitude Gala to benefit The Joe Andruzzi Foundation, named for the former Patriots lineman who also beat cancer.

The 6-foot 8-inch, 320-pound Solder said he went public about his son’s illness to provide comfort and strength to other families undergoing to same thing.
