Tom Brady and Bill Belichick Receive Votes for President in New Hampshire Primary
|Bill often studied football with his father and has cited him as one of his greatest mentors. Belichick went on to play football and lacrosse in high school and football, lacrosse and squash at Wesleyan University; he was captain of the lacrosse team his senior year.
Four Super Bowl titles have certainly given Brady and Belichick a lot of supporters in the New England area. Just because they know how to win football games, however, doesn’t mean they are fit to be in office. But for some people, that doesn’t matter. They just want to see a Patriots legend running the United States of America.
For what it’s worth, in November, Brady told GQ that he had no interest in getting into politics. People can write his name in all they want, but they should not expect to see his name on a ballot.
Under Belichick, the Patriots have gone 187–69–0 in 16 seasons. Belichick is far and away the winningest coach in Patriots history; his 187 wins with the franchise are more than triple those of runner-up Holovak. Belichick also has compiled a 22–9 record in the playoffs with New England, and 4–2 in Super Bowls. He has led the Patriots to thirteen division titles, including five consecutive titles from 2003 to 2007 and seven consecutive titles from 2009 to 2015 (and only missed the playoffs on tiebreakers in 2002 and 2008). He and the Patriots lost to the Giants in Super Bowl XLVI 21-17. But in 2015, the Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX 28-24, winning their first championship in a decade.
Brady and Belichick would probably be able to win any political race they entered in New England. When it comes to the presidential election, however, they would face an uphill battle because there are plenty of Patriots haters throughout the country.
